29th June 2002 - Torch Fellowship for the Blind - Marilyn Baker Concert The Witney Torch Fellowship hosted a Concert given by Marilyn Baker. This concert formed part of the Fellowship’s 22nd Anniversary Celebrations, and was performed in memory of two of their former members, Miss Mary Long and Mr Charles Watson, as well as raise the profile of the Fellowship. Marilyn Baker became blind as a child but soon showed a gift for music. During the past twenty years she has travelled the world, becoming one of our most popular and well-loved Christian singer/songwriters. Marilyn says: ‘Music is a wonderful way of sharing one’s Christian faith’ and her concerts have been the means of opening hearts to God’s love and changing many lives. Her concerts are her testimony given in word and song. |
